Job summary

Aecon is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to inspect components and materials within the Aecon program, reporting through the quality system. The role requires ensuring compliance with codes and specifications and coordinating with engineers, suppliers, and field personnel.

Ideal candidates have QA/QC experience, ACI certification, and Level I/II weld inspection credentials. The position involves site-based work at the Savannah River Site, with a focus on safety and quality assurance.

Qualifications

• Graduate secondary education in welding tech, QA/QC, or related field, or 3+ years QA/QC experience.
• ACI Certification and concrete experience are assets.
• Level I/II Visual Weld Inspection certifications are preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Inspect pressure boundary and non-pressure boundary components, assemblies, and fabrications per applicable codes and specs.
• Perform dimensional and concrete inspections; review Material Test Reports.
• Conduct receiving, weld visual, and positive material identification inspections.
• Verify tests are documented and coordinate with engineers, suppliers, and field personnel.
• Develop and maintain site quality programs and inspection plans; manage punch lists and turnover packages.
