Job summary

Bechtel Plant Machinery, Inc. (BPMI) in Monroeville, PA is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to perform quality engineering functions and make engineering decisions across components and systems in the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (ABET-accredited) is required.
2+ years of relevant experience or more is expected.
Requires ability to obtain/maintain a DOE security clearance.

Responsibilities

Analyze supplier quality programs and assess capability to produce quality components.
Audit manufacturing, testing, and inspection processes at suppliers' facilities.
Review contracts, drawings, and procedures for contract compliance.
Conduct in-process surveillance to ensure contract and procedural compliance.
Support resolution of technical and quality issues at suppliers.
Communicate supplier health and status to management periodically.
