Job summary

Everforth Apex seeks a Senior Nuclear Project Manager to lead large-scale projects in a nuclear utility setting. The role requires deep PM expertise, leadership, and a track record in regulated environments.

Onsite work in Waynesboro, GA with cross-functional collaboration across engineering, operations, and maintenance. The ideal candidate will have a technical background in I&C, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, 10+ years in PM, and PMP certification.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of project management experience leading complex projects, preferably within the nuclear or utility industry.
  • PMP certification is required.
  • Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience delivering large-scale projects from planning through implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery of complex nuclear projects.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, resource plans, and deliverables.
  • Define project scope, objectives, and success criteria with stakeholders.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks with contingency planning.
  • Track project performance and provide updates to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations, safety standards, and policies.

Location: Waynesboro, Georgia (Onsite)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Nuclear Project Manager to lead and deliver large‑scale, complex projects within a nuclear utility environment. This individual will provide strategic leadership, oversee project execution from initiation through completion, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget. The ideal candidate will have a technical background in Instrumentation & Controls (I&C), Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering, along with extensive experience managing high‑impact projects in the nuclear industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and successful delivery of complex nuclear projects.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, resource plans, and project deliverables.
  • Define project scope, objectives, and success criteria in partnership with key stakeholders.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks while implementing effective contingency plans.
  • Track project performance and provide regular updates to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and organizational policies.
  • Manage stakeholder communication and expectations, ensuring project alignment with organizational goals.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and apply project management best practices.
  • Mentor and guide project team members, fostering collaboration and professional growth.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across engineering, operations, maintenance, and business functions.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of project management experience leading complex projects, preferably within the nuclear or utility industry.
  • Demonstrated success delivering large-scale projects from planning through implementation.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, governance, and lifecycle management.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to lead cross‑functional teams in dynamic and highly regulated environments.
  • Proficiency with project management tools and scheduling software.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related discipline.
  • Technical background in Instrumentation & Controls (I&C), Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering, in that order of preference.
  • Experience managing capital projects, plant modifications, outage‑related initiatives, or major infrastructure programs within a nuclear environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of risk management, forecasting, budgeting, and project controls.
Certifications
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required.
  • Additional project management, engineering, or nuclear industry certifications are highly preferred.
