Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking a Utility Worker for housekeeping and specialized cleaning of non-radiological and radiological plant areas and equipment. You will handle sump cleaning, sludge pumping, tank cleaning, waste disposal, and operate cleaners and vacuums as trained.

Typical shifts involve 10-hour days, with outages requiring extended hours; safety compliance and ability to work independently are essential. Forklift experience is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Pass all background checks and drug testing.
• Must meet PAT/FFD/RWT requirements.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Proactive support of company programs and goals.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Able to understand and follow procedures for nuclear plant environments.
• Commitment to personal and industrial safety.
• Capable of working independently with minimal oversight.
• May support sister sites on short notice.
• Able to climb ladders and work at heights.
• Must be able to operate equipment after training.
• May pass respirator physical requirements.
• Able to work in adverse conditions such as high temperatures or confined spaces.
• Forklift operation experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform housekeeping and specialized cleaning of plant areas and equipment.
• Operate tools such as pressure washers, steam cleaners, and vacuums as trained.
• Support other client fleet locations within reasonable notice.
• Assist with waste and recycling disposal as required.
