Job summary

Aalo Atomics seeks a Plant Operations Director to lead Idaho Falls readiness for CTR, Aalo-0, and Aalo-X. You will build the operating organization, establish nuclear standards, and integrate commissioning with operations to ensure readiness is demonstrated by objective evidence.

Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Nuclear Operations, you will work with Engineering, Nuclear Safety, ES&H, Quality, Training, Maintenance, and oversight bodies to drive safe, compliant, and efficient startup

Qualifications

• 15+ years in nuclear operations with leadership in a commercial plant.
• 5+ years leading plant operations, startup/commissioning at manager/director level.
• Current or former NRC SRO license or DOE SRO with leadership experience.
• Proven improvements in operations, training, work control and safety culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead facility operations, commissioning/startup execution, readiness, and procedures across CTR, Aalo-0, and Aalo-X.
• Build and staff the Aalo-X operating organization with qualified personnel.
• Establish and enforce standards for procedures, control of equipment, logkeeping, and safety practices.
• Integrate construction turnover, acceptance testing, and startup into a single readiness process.
• Develop personnel through selection, qualification, observation, and coaching.
