Job summary

NextEra Energy Resources is seeking an Engineer II to support the restart of the Duane Arnold Energy Center. You will contribute to plant restoration, system recommissioning, and readiness by applying structural engineering principles to nuclear-related projects and modifications.

You will prepare design change products, perform analyses, assist with project implementation, field support, and regulatory documentation, while conforming to SDP, 10 CFR 50.59, and applicable codes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• Experience: 2+ years.
• Nuclear experience: not required.

Responsibilities

• Performs engineering/analytical tasks to develop reliable, cost-effective recommendations.
• Uses advanced computer models to study solution feasibility.
• Prepares engineering documentation and assists with licensing and regulatory support.
• Ensures procured materials and services meet engineering specifications.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
