Job summary

Entergy is seeking an Engineer I - Sr (Nuc) to provide plant support engineering, establish and maintain design configurations, and ensure accurate documentation across drawings and calculations.

The role interfaces with Maintenance and Operations, supporting both day-to-day troubleshooting and long-term program health, while coordinating with cross-functional teams on plant changes and reliability improvements.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and teamwork are essential for coordinating with Maintenance and Operations.
• Proficiency with PC applications, engineering tools, and analytical systems used in engineering.
• Experience with engineering software used for design changes and document control is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and resolve plant issues, including those from significant events and complex technical challenges.
• Provide technical support to Maintenance and Operations for troubleshooting equipment and emergent conditions.
• Develop and issue engineering changes, including design modifications and temporary alterations, to support plant needs and reliability.
• Maintain Emergency Response Organization qualifications and perform associated duties as required.
• Provide technical information related to program bases, performance requirements, compliance status, and operating experience.
• Plan, prioritize, and support project lifecycle activities including corrective action plans and improvements.
• Prepare engineering products in accordance with standards, procedures, and quality expectations.
• Support changes in system and component configuration and design basis.
• Serve on outage engineering support teams for online outages and refueling outages.
• Perform failure evaluations and lead root cause analyses as needed.
• Incorporate lessons learned from fleet operating experience into site programs.
