Qualifications

  • 0-1 years of experience preferred.
  • WA State Pharmacy Technician License is required.
  • WA Technician license strongly preferred.
  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience with sterile compounding preferred.
  • Customer/vendor credentialing (vaccinations) may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare prescriptions by typing labels and obtaining Staff Pharmacist approval.
  • Draw doses into either a syringe or vial.
  • Perform quality assurance tests on instruments and radiopharmaceuticals.
  • Receive, document, and store incoming and outgoing pharmaceuticals.
  • Maintain computer inventory and records for Rx drugs.
  • Assist with labeling of blood cell products.
  • Perform general laboratory and facility cleanup.
  • May perform clerical and administrative tasks and billing records.
