Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support daily operations, prepare medications, and process customer orders. You will assist the pharmacist, maintain inventory, and help with billing and customer inquiries. The role requires safety practices and infection control.

Applicants should have a CA Pharmacy Technician license and strong communication and customer service skills. Overtime availability and lifting of up to 75 lbs are expected in this role.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent strongly preferred.
• CA Pharmacy Technician license.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong customer service skills required.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record required.
• Ability to lift 75 lbs.
• Ability to work overtime with little or no advance notice.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in preparing facility for daily operations, including cleaning and inventory management.
• Process customer orders and ensure timely delivery of medications.
• Perform administrative pharmacy tasks such as billing and answering questions.
• Maintain pharmacy safety by following infection control procedures.
• Assist in training and developing staff, including trainees.

Licensed.ResponsibilitiesAssists pharmacist in preparing facility for daily operations through cleaning, equipment testing, maintenance of inventory, restocking, and preparing reports and other records.Follows standard operating procedures to organize, prepare and dispense radioactive medications, as specified by manufacturers and in line with customer needs.Collects and processes customer orders to ensure efficient communication and timely delivery of medications to patients.Performs administrative pharmacy tasks, such as billing, answering questions and assisting customers to facilitate pharmacy operations and customer satisfaction.Maintains pharmacy safety through following and recording completion of daily infection control procedures.Assists in training and development of staff through mentorship of pharmacy tech trainees.QualificationsHigh school degree or equivalent strongly preferredCA Pharmacy Technician licenseStrong verbal and written communication skills requiredStrong customer service skills requiredValid driver's license and good driving record requiredAbility to lift 75 lbs requiredPrevious experience working as a Pharmacy Technician is highly preferredAbility to work overtime with little or no advance noticeCustomer/vendor credentialing is required (this may include vaccinations).
