Qualifications

Hours: 6:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday, as needed (PRN)

Position Overview: Nuclear Medicine Technologist

A nuclear medicine technologist performs nuclear medicine and molecular imaging procedures or therapies at the request of and for interpretation by a licensed practitioner, under supervision. Responsibilities include preparing, administering, and documenting activities related to ionizing radiation (radioactive materials and/or CT) and non-ionizing radiation, medications, and radiation exposure, in accordance with federal and state laws, regulations, and institutional policies. The technologist may also perform CT exams to generate images for interpretation.

  • Basic computer skills
  • Knowledge of sterile technique
  • At least two years of clinical experience in Nuclear Medicine (preferred), which can be gained through an accredited training program
  • CT experience (preferred)
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED
  • License: Current Nuclear Medicine Technologist license issued by the State of Indiana, along with ARRT(N) or NMTCB registry
