Job description

Responsibilities

The Nuclear Med Technologist utilizes imaging, computer, and other equipment to produce and retain high-quality diagnostic images that meet or exceed department, organizational, and industry standards. They demonstrate thorough knowledge of human anatomy and physiology, as well as image quality. Applying professional knowledge, they prepare patients for procedures, educate them, and respond to questions or concerns. They ensure age-appropriate communication, safety, patient education, and principles of physical/functional growth and development. They understand patient positioning, imaging techniques, radiation safety, imaging equipment, infection control, and quality control techniques. They oversee and train students, providing patient care, treatment, and services as part of their training.

Qualifications

Required:

  • RO (State Radiography License) and one of: ARRT-N or CNMT

OR

  • ROT (Temporary State Radiography License) and must obtain ARRT-N or CNMT prior to ROT expiration

Desired:

  • One year experience as a nuclear technologist
