Chippenham Hospital is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist PRN to join a team within the Radiology department. The role involves performing diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures, preparing radiopharmaceuticals, and ensuring quality assurance on imaging equipment.

Candidates should be AMA-approved graduates with ARRT-N or CNMT certification and BLS. The position offers PRN hours with competitive hourly wages and a comprehensive benefits framework where applicable.

Competenze

• Graduate of AMA approved School of Nuclear Medicine Technology and licensed or eligible for ARRT-N or CNMT per licensure requirements.
• ARRT-N or CNMT license required or obtained within 6 months of hire.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technology or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board certification required or in process.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers required.

Mansioni

• Perform a variety of diagnostic and therapeutic Nuclear Medicine procedures.

Job Summary and Qualifications

1. Perform a variety of diagnostic and therapeutic Nuclear Medicine procedures.

2. Order, prepare, calibrate, store and administer radiopharmaceuticals for routine and on-call procedures.

3. Perform quality assurance on cameras and various instruments.

4. Operate various radiation detection devices.

5. Demonstrate the ability to perform all necessary computer operations (i.e. Meditech, PACS and Syntrac).

6. Ensure proper charges are entered and physician orders are verified.

7. Computer processing.

8. Perform quarterly inventory of radioactive sealed sources.

9. Participate in maintenance of departmental records, manuals and inventory.

10. Perform decontamination procedures.

11. Assist in the cleaning and maintenance of the department.

12. Answer phones, greet patients, physicians, and the public.

13. Completes and maintains educational requirements.

What qualifications you will need:

EXPERIENCE

PREFERRED: Minimum of one year as a nuclear medicine technologist

EDUCATION

REQUIRED: Graduate of AMA approved School of Nuclear Medicine Technology.ARRT-N or CNMT licensed. Continuing education as required for licensure.

Required: American Registry of Radiologic Technology or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (within 6 months of hire)

Required: American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider
