This role involves performing quality control on all nuclear medicine equipment, maintaining the radiopharmaceutical laboratory, and performing dose calculations and administration for patients requiring nuclear medicine procedures. The role requires adherence to all clinic and state laws concerning radiation, as well as patient interaction, explanation of procedures, counseling, and assistance.
Education
Required: High School diploma or equivalent
Work Experience
Required: None
Certifications
Required: Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) OR Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (NMTCB), Current State of Louisiana Nuclear Medicine Technologist License, Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
