Job summary

Ascension St. Vincent in Evansville, IN is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to capture high-precision diagnostic images using specialized cameras and radiopharmaceutical mapping, supporting physician interpretation.

You will manage radiopharmaceuticals lifecycle, ensure patient safety, and optimize workflow with timely image delivery and careful patient positioning across rotating shifts and on-call coverage.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 1 month of hire date (AHA or Red Cross accepted).
• Nuclear Medical Tech credentialed from Indiana Medical Radiology Services Program is required before hire date.
• NMTCB or ARRT-related Nuclear Medicine/NM credentials before hire date as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Capture high-precision diagnostic images with specialized cameras mapping radiopharmaceuticals.
• Manage the lifecycle of radioactive materials—from ordering to safe disposal.
• Position patients and select technical parameters to ensure first-time quality scans.
• Lead radiation safety by following protection guidelines for patient and team safety.
• Facilitate rapid workflow by delivering images and patient histories to archives.

Education

High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience

Associate's degree/Technical degree

4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience
