Job summary

CommonSpirit Health in San Luis Obispo, CA is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures with strict radiation safety and patient care. You will operate imaging equipment, prepare radiopharmaceuticals, and ensure quality control and regulatory compliance.

The role requires current licensure (NMTL:CA), CNMT or RTN certification, and BLS-CPR. Preference for CT experience and more advanced skills may apply.

Qualifications

• CA Nuclear Medical Technologist license (NMTL:CA) required at hire.
• Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) required at hire.
• Registered Technologist Nuclear Medicine Technology (RTN) required at hire.
• American Heart Association BLS-CPR required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures per department standards and physician orders.
• Operates all nuclear medicine equipment, survey meters, counters, and computers.
• Prepares and calibrates radioactive tracer compounds for patient use.
• Appropriately administers radioisotopes.
• Performs quality control tests, assists in equipment calibration and radioisotope assay operations.
• Maintains records of radioisotopes, exposure, and monitoring per state and federal regulations.
