Qualifications

• Education sufficient to meet certification, licensure, or registration requirements.
• Upon hire: Oregon Nuclear Medicine Technologist or Temporary license.
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS – American Heart Association.
• Within 6 months of hire: National Registered Technologist – Nuclear Medicine Technology or National Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist – Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board.

Responsibilities

• Performs Nuclear Medicine examinations for diagnostic and therapeutic (site specific) purposes under the direction of a physician.
• Prepares patient, prepares and administers prescribed dose of radioactive pharmaceuticals and non-radioactive pharmaceuticals, performs calculations and manipulates data according to established parameters.
• Ensures proper preparation and/or ordering of radioactive material, calibrates equipment, assures appropriate quality control, monitors patients and performs other duties as assigned.
