Job summary

Saint Peter’s Healthcare System is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist Per Diem in New Brunswick, New Jersey. The successful candidate will prepare patients for nuclear medicine diagnostic testing and operate imaging equipment suitable for all ages.

Applicants must possess an NJ State license in nuclear medicine, a working knowledge of scintillation cameras, and the interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively with patients and other hospital staff. The position also requires BLS Certification.

• Must possess interpersonal skills sufficient to interact effectively with Hospital staff.

Job description

Nuclear Medicine

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist Per Diem will:

• Prepare patient for nuclear medicine diagnostic testing, as appropriate to the ages of the patients growth and development through the life cycle factors (Neonates, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics)
• Prepare radiopharmaceuticals and maintain records, as appropriate to the ages of the patients growth and development through the life cycle factors (Neonates, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics)
• Prepare and operate imaging equipment, as appropriate to the ages of the patients growth and development through the life cycle factors

Requirements

• Possesses NJ State license in nuclear medicine.
• Possesses a working knowledge of scintillation cameras and related computers.
• Must possess interpersonal skills sufficient to interact effectively with other departments within the Hospital, attending physicians and other hospitals.
• Must possess interpersonal skills sufficient to interact with extremely ill and/or irritable patients.
• BLS Certification required, as approved by the American Heart Association.

Salary Range: 55.00 - 55.00 USD
