The role prioritizes technical proficiency, patient education, radiation safety, and collaboration with radiologists. CNMT/ARRT(N) credentials are preferred and eligibility to obtain SC certifications is required.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree with a certificate of completion from an accredited Nuclear Medicine program.
• 1+ year of experience in Nuclear Medicine preferred.
• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology, radiation safety, and imaging techniques.

Responsibilities

• Review outpatient orders prior to day of procedure to ensure accuracy and timely care.
• Educate and prepare patients for procedures with effective communication.
• Obtain and document accurate patient medical history for radiologist interpretation.
• Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures.
• Perform Nuclear Medicine procedures per physician orders.
• Operate imaging equipment and manage radiopharmaceuticals and medications.
• Complete exams in hospital information systems.
• Clean and maintain imaging equipment.
• Mentor and train students or new hires as needed.
