BMCHS is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform nuclear medicine procedures under supervision in the Nuclear Medicine Department. The part-time position emphasizes safety, patient communication, and adherence to departmental policies while supporting staff and physicians.

The role requires documented Nuclear Medicine training, ARRT/NMTCB certification, Massachusetts license, and BLS. You will participate in QA/QI activities and ensure accurate records and patient safety.

Qualifikationen

• Documented training and experience in Nuclear Medicine.
• Proficiency with imaging hardware/software and HIS equipment.
• Familiarity with communication devices (fax, phone, email).

Aufgaben

• Adhere to policies; communicate with leadership about patient care and safety.
• Explain procedures to patients compassionately and clearly.
• Coordinate patient flow using scheduling systems.
• Participate in QA/QI and infection control and radiation safety.
• Monitor quality control on imaging equipment and devices.
• Assist radiologist with procedures and injections as directed.
• Establish IV access; administer contrast media and radiopharmaceuticals.
• Maintain records and ensure timely production of reports and images.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and secure handling of patient data.
• Maintain a clean, professional environment and manage supplies.
