Job summary

Quincy Medical Group is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a part-time role in Quincy, Illinois. The position requires evenings and weekends and involves preparing patients, administering radiopharmaceuticals, performing imaging, and ensuring safety and quality.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary imaging team to support high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will have graduated from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program, hold current nuclear medicine

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program required.
  • Current applicable nuclear medicine certification and Illinois accreditation/licensure required.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification required.
  • Previous nuclear medicine experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of radiation safety, patient care, and imaging quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients and perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures according to established protocols and provider orders.
  • Prepare, administer, and document radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with applicable regulations and scope of practice.
  • Explain procedures to patients, obtain appropriate clinical information, and monitor patients throughout testing.
  • Operate nuclear medicine imaging equipment and evaluate images for technical quality.
  • Accurately document procedures and maintain patient and imaging records.
  • Follow radiation safety, infection prevention, quality assurance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain equipment, supplies, and appropriate documentation related to nuclear medicine operations.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, patients, and other members of the care team.

You will combine technical expertise with compassionate patient care while ensuring studies are performed safely, accurately, and efficiently.
