Adventist Health Oxnard is seeking a part-time Nuclear Medicine Technologist to administer radiopharmaceuticals and radiation, perform imaging procedures, and coordinate patient flow. The role involves preparing stock solutions, calculating doses, and ensuring quality control across procedures.

Applicants should hold a diploma in nuclear medicine or equivalent, with preferred bachelor’s degree and licensure/certification in CA and HI.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate from an accredited nuclear medicine program is required.
• Bachelor's degree in nuclear medicine or equivalent is preferred.
• State license/certification as Nuclear Medicine Technologist is required in CA and HI (ARRT/NMTCB eligibility considered).
• Venipuncture (IV) certification is required in CA and HI.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, administers, and measures radioactive isotopes using radiopharmaceutical equipment.
• Performs diagnostic screening procedures and coordinates patient flow.
• Documents all pertinent information regarding radioactive materials per departmental procedures.
• Obtains patient information and communicates preparation instructions to care areas.
• Elevates issues to senior staff when needed; performs other related duties.

Education

Diploma/certificate from an accredited school of Nuclear Medicine

Bachelor's Degree in nuclear medicine technology or equivalent

ARRT/NMTCB certification eligibility

Venipuncture certification

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
