Job summary

Baptist Health in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our Imaging department at Baptist South. This PRN position offers flexible scheduling and the opportunity to work with an experienced imaging team while delivering high-quality care to patients.

Responsibilities include preparing patients for scans, performing diagnostic procedures, and documenting medications and images in compliance with state and federal regulations.

Qualifications

• Performs high quality diagnostic procedures
• Knowledge of Florida Radiation/Radioactive Materials regulations
• Protects patients and staff from radiation exposure
• Identifies, prepares, administers and documents medications per physician orders and regulations
• Experience with radioactive materials preferred
• Experience in hospital setting preferred
• Customer service experience preferred
• Knowledge of federal and state regulations preferred

This is a PRN varied shifts opportunity.A Nuclear Medicine Technologist is responsible for providing patients with radioactive medication and operating imaging technology to track the radiation within the patient’s body. Their duties include sterilizing syringes, preparing patients for a scan, and processing image reports that indicate the presence of disease.
