Job summary

Providence-St. Joseph Hospital-Orange is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist on a per diem basis, working 8-hour day shifts in Orange, California.

The role involves planning, organizing and performing diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures under supervision and leading guidance, while adhering to high QA and regulatory standards. Required certifications include California Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification, NMT CTB or NRM, and American Heart Association BLS; one year

Qualifications

• Graduate of Nuclear Medicine training program.
• National Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist or National Registered Technologist with required California/NMT certifications.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and perform diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures.
• Fulfill department quality assurance duties and comply with Federal, State and JCAHO standards.

Description

Nuclear Medicine Technologist at St Joseph Hospital-Orange. This position is Per Diem and will work 8-hour Day Shifts.

Under general supervision of the Supervisor, and guidance of the Lead Technologist, the Nuclear Medicine Technologist will perform all necessary duties and functions related to: (1) planning, organizing and performing diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures and (2) fulfill all duties required by the department quality assurance, Federal, State and JCAHO Standards.

Required Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training: Graduate of Nuclear Medicine training program.
• Upon hire: National Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board or
• Upon hire: National Registered Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology.
• Upon hire: California Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification.
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 year experience working with cameras/computers of the same manufacturer as those at St. Joseph hospital.
• Infant through older adult nuclear medicine procedure experience.
• Intravenous administration experience with pediatric patients.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
