Job description

Overview

Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) seeks a certified and licensed Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) to support operations at the VA Loma Linda Healthcare System located at 11201 Benton St., Loma Linda, CA 92357. The NMT will perform most examinations independently and adhere to quality assurance standards established by the American College of Radiology (ACR).

Schedule: To be determined. Full-time and PRN opportunities are anticipated.

Responsibilities

  1. Have in-depth knowledge of Nuclear Medicine scanning techniques and optimize examination potential.
  2. Collect and communicate pertinent clinical information to the Radiologist. Properly identify patients according to Imaging Service protocols and explain procedures to patients.
  3. Complete all necessary patient questionnaires and interviews prior to exams or procedures.
  4. Review documentation for completeness and appropriateness; consult with the Radiologist if needed before proceeding.
  5. Follow all established Nuclear Medicine safety protocols and procedures.
  6. Maintain compliance with VA policies, medical staff bylaws, and protocols.
  7. Complete all required training and documentation.

Qualifications

  1. Certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology by the NMTCB or ARRT (N).
  2. Minimum of two (2) years of experience in the modality, capable of working independently.
  3. Experience with all related examinations, including advanced modalities.
  4. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA.
  5. Experience with Siemens Biograph PET/CT and Symbia Intevo scanners.
  6. Experience with PACS, AGFA Enterprise Imaging (EI), and/or IMPAX (training provided).
  7. Venipuncture certification.
  8. Proven experience in intravenous and contrast injections.
  9. Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  10. No sponsorship available.

Physical and Other Requirements

  1. Ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during shifts.
  2. Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist.
  3. Lift up to 20 lbs.
  4. Carry up to 40 lbs over reasonable distances.
  5. Push/pull with 30 lbs of force.
