Overview

Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently seeking Nuclear Medicine Technologists (NMT) to support operations at the Baltimore VA Medical Center located at 10 N Greene St. Baltimore, MD 21201. Services to be provided include the full range of Nuclear Medicine department operations. Multiple shift schedules with on-call service are available.

Responsibilities

• Must be able to work successfully in all aspects of Nuclear Medicine imaging without the benefit of direct, onsite physician supervision
• Responsible for data acquisition, processing, preparation, and transmission of complicated, completed diagnostic images for Nuclear Medicine physician interpretation
• Serves adults from 19-65 years and geriatric patients over 65 years of
• Must be able to evaluate and provide care based on the special needs associate with the of the patient
• Responsible for the secretion and creation of an appropriate image data set sufficient to answer the clinical question(s) posed by referring physicians
• Performs procedures entailing the production of organ maps of distribution of radioactivity following their administration to the patient
• Sets up and calibrates the imaging equipment and instruments on a daily basis, checking their performance and reliability prior to beginning any patient study
• Completes appropriate patient prep, data, acquisitions processing, analysis of data and computer transmission to the core facility

Qualifications

• Completion of a CHEA- and JCERT-accredited Technologist training program
• Certified in Nuclear Medicine Technology by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) OR American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT (N)
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required
• Must have proven clinical work experience within the past 12 months
• Prior VA experience is desirable
• No sponsorship available

All candidates must be able to:

• Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift
• Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
• Lift up to 20 lbs
• Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
• Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
