Job summary

Atrium Health Pineville is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to prepare, administer, and document radiopharmaceuticals in a full-time role with an on-call rotation. The position is eligible for a sign-on bonus based on eligibility and includes a 40-hour work week.

Ideal candidates are ARRT(N) or NMTCB certified with BLS; graduates must complete registry within one year of hire. Excellent safety practices and patient communication are essential.

Qualifications

• ARRT(N) or NMTCB certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• Registry-eligible graduates must complete registry within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, administers and documents diagnostic doses of radiopharmaceuticals under supervision.
• Adheres to department radiation safety practices.
• Obtains medications, radiopharmaceuticals, or contrast materials as directed for administration.
• Obtains patient history and records dose information for exams.
• Verifies patient identity and prepares for procedures.
• Explains procedures to patients and family.
• Performs organ concentration and excretion measurements for diagnostic information.
• Maintains ongoing self-study to stay current with techniques.
