Qualifications

• Accredited Nuclear Medicine Technologist program is required.
• CRT license issued by the State of Florida is required.
• ARRT NM certification is preferred.
• BLS certification is required or must be obtained.

Responsibilities

• Performs nuclear medicine imaging and/or therapy in accordance with department policies.
• Takes on-call shift responsibilities as required by the department.
• Prepares equipment and supplies for procedures and tests.
• Selects appropriate imaging parameters for procedures.
• Implements safety standards and performs quality control on equipment.
• Reviews patient history and physician orders; educates patients about procedures.
• Orders, prepares, administers, stores, and disposes of radiopharmaceuticals.
• Monitors patient condition and responds to changes as needed.
