As part of a hospital or diagnostic imaging center, you will operate advanced nuclear medicine equipment, monitor patients during examinations, and collaborate with physicians to interpret imaging results while maintaining meticulous records and following radiation safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Prepare radioactive drugs (radiopharmaceuticals) and administer them to patients via injection, inhalation, or oral methods.
• Operate advanced imaging equipment to capture images of radioactive material within the body for diagnostic purposes.
• Monitor patients during procedures for any adverse reactions or complications.
• Ensure compliance with radiation safety protocols to protect patients, staff, and yourself from unnecessary exposure.
• Collaborate with physicians to analyze imaging results for accurate diagnoses or treatment plans.
• Maintain detailed records of procedures performed and ensure proper disposal of radioactive materials according to regulations.
