Job summary

NCSL International seeks a Nuclear Medicine Technologist I to perform diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures under physician supervision. From radiopharmaceutical preparation to imaging and safety, you will contribute to high-quality patient care in a regulatory environment.

Responsibilities include operating gamma cameras/PET scanners, documenting all procedures, and collaborating with Radiology to optimize protocols.

Qualifications

Proficiency in nuclear medicine imaging techniques and radiopharmaceutical preparation.
Knowledge of NRC and state regulations for nuclear medicine and radiation protection.
Ability to recognize abnormal scans and troubleshoot imaging quality.

Responsibilities

Performs imaging procedures and therapies per physician orders and protocols.
Prepares and administers radiopharmaceuticals, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.
Assesses patient condition and screens for contraindications prior to procedures.
Operates and calibrates imaging equipment (gamma cameras, PET scanners).
conducts routine quality control and documents procedures in the EMR.
Handles radioactive materials safely, complying with NRC and state rules.
Communicates procedure details and post-procedure care to patients/families.
Collaborates with radiologists, cardiologists, and vendors to update protocols.
Maintains attendance and complies with all policies.
