Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Worcester, MA is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform nuclear medicine testing, calibrate radiopharmaceuticals, and ensure quality and safety in imaging procedures. Qualifications

Degree in nuclear medicine technology.
Registration or registry eligible as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
Licensure to work as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist in Massachusetts.
BLS healthcare provider certification before 90-day probation.
DOT certification in radioactive waste.

Responsibilities

Review physician orders to determine appropriate dosing of radioisotopes.
Explain nuclear medicine procedures to the patient and administer radiopharmaceuticals.
Perform organ visualization and function tests using gamma camera imaging.
Record calculations and prepare reports for physician review; correlate results.
Order, stock, and label radiopharmaceuticals; maintain shielding and inventory.
