You will interact with patients, obtain medical histories, administer radiopharmaceuticals, and record results in EMR/PACS. A strong emphasis on ALARA and collaboration with the medical team is essential.

Competenze

• Associate’s Degree in Nuclear Medicine
• BLS - American Heart Association
• NM license - State Licensing Board
• OPCERT X-Ray Operators - State Licensing Board
• NMTCB/ARRT-N certification - The Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board or ARR T

Mansioni

• Operate equipment and calibrate radioisotope and laboratory equipment.
• Prepare, administer, and measure radioactive isotopes in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Provide direct patient care and explain procedures to patients.
• Prepare stock radiopharmaceuticals and ensure safety standards to minimize exposure to workers and patients.
• Record radiation doses and patient data in EMR/PACS and maintain accurate documentation.
• Collaborate with physicians on protocol and procedure elements.
• Perform venipunctures and follow ALARA radiation reduction techniques.
