Summary:

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist will perform routine and advanced imaging procedures, support other imaging technologists, and facilitate smooth patient flow. The technologist must be flexible to work different shifts and locations, troubleshoot basic maintenance issues, participate in QA, and resolve image processing and archiving system problems. Ongoing education, safety, and technical updates within their scope of licensure are expected. The technologist will adhere to imaging competencies, radiation safety protocols, and maintain daily logs and tests as required by licensing authorities. • Ensure exams are correctly scanned and stored in PACS; follow downtime procedures and escalate issues.
• Report equipment malfunctions and perform follow-up actions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Education/Skills:

• Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology program or equivalent.

Experience:

• At least 1 year of clinical nuclear medicine experience.
• Basic computer skills required.

Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications:

• Nuclear Medicine Technology (N) by ARRT or NMTCB required.
• State Licensure required: MRT by TMB (TX), LRT (N) or (F) by LSRTBE (LA), NMT by MIRTP NMED (NM).
• BLS certification required.
