Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nuclear medicine or radiologic technology program.
• Current license or temporary license by the Texas Medical Board (MRT).
• Registered Nuclear Medicine Technologist (ARRT-N) or NMTCB certification; ARRT-CT if performing diagnostic CT.

Responsibilities

• Performs nuclear medicine exams, prepares patients, explains procedures, and administers radioactive isotopes.
• Ensures image quality and analyzes biologic specimens for interpretation.
• Enters and monitors patient data.
• Performs quality assurance on imaging equipment.
• May assist with initial/renewal applications for accreditation.
• Identifies and reports accidents, complaints or equipment malfunctions.
