Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nuclear Medicine Technology or Radiologic Technology.
• Current license by the Texas Medical Board (MRT) required or eligible.
• Registered Nuclear Medicine Technologist by ARRT-N or NMTCB; ARRT-CT if performing diagnostic CT.
• Ability to lift and/or maneuver patients with others to perform job functions.

Responsibilities

• Performs nuclear medicine exams, prepares patients, explains procedures and administers radiopharmaceuticals.
• Obtains quality images, analyzes data and prepares results for physician interpretation.
• Monitors patient data and ensures accuracy and safety of imaging procedures.
• Maintains QA on imaging equipment and supports accreditation activities as needed.
• Provides safe care and adheres to department policies, time management and efficiency.
