Responsibilities

• Interacts with patients and coworkers with care, respect and teamwork.
• Communicates instructions clearly to patients and explains procedures to ease anxiety.
• Ensures exams are properly coded in RIS, linked to ISITE, and charges entered accurately.
• Maintains records for radiopharmaceuticals receipt, usage and disposal.
• Verifies patient identity with two identifiers and follows universal protocol for procedures.
• Calculates and records patient dose per policy and safety guidelines.
• Performs nuclear medicine exams with high proficiency and produces optimal results.
• Conducts routine quality control checks on imaging and non-imaging equipment.
