Job summary

Radiology Partners in Austin is seeking a Nuclear Medicine technologist to perform nuclear medicine and radiographic exams, ensuring patient safety and high-quality images. The role involves PSA protocols, IV access, and effective patient communication to reduce anxiety and ensure accurate results.

The ideal candidate holds an accredited Nuclear Medicine credential, ARRT(N) or NMTCB(CNMT), CPR/BLS, and has experience with EKG setup and Siemens equipment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine program.
• ARRT (N) or NMTCB (CNMT), CPR, BLS, MRT; CEU credits maintained; ACLS preferred.
• Proficient in venipuncture.
• Knowledge of cardiac EKG setup, QA for hot lab and imaging devices, Siemens equipment.
• Ability to work well with clinical staff and patients.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates competency in nuclear medicine and radiographic exams per established protocols.
• Explains exams, medications, radiation safety, and procedures to patients; manages IV and EKG leads.
• Applies appropriate patient care and recognizes conditions essential for successful exams.
• Reviews exam referrals/orders and notes special instructions.
• Ensures all images and notes transmit to PACS per policy.
