  • NMT or ARRT CNMT certification as listed in qualifications
  • On-call responsibilities may apply

Responsibilities

  • Administers therapeutic doses of radiopharmaceuticals under physician direction
  • Assists physician in diagnostic procedures
  • Transports patients to and from rooms as needed
  • Calibrates imaging equipment and ensures accuracy
  • Ensures efficient imaging for quick interpretation
  • Follows radiation safety protocols and disposal of radioactive materials
  • Measures radioactivity using Geiger counters/scintillation detectors
  • Performs diagnostic studies using scanners or scintillation cameras as prescribed

Education
