Responsibilities

Administers therapeutic doses of radiopharmaceuticals under physician direction
Assists physician in diagnostic procedures
Transports patients to and from rooms as needed
Calibrates imaging equipment and ensures accuracy
Ensures efficient imaging for quick interpretation
Follows radiation safety protocols and disposal of radioactive materials
Measures radioactivity using Geiger counters/scintillation detectors
Performs diagnostic studies using scanners or scintillation cameras as prescribed
