Job summary

Antelope Valley Hospital is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures using radiopharmaceuticals, under physician direction. The role emphasizes independent judgment, safety, and precise documentation.

Responsibilities include preparing radiopharmaceuticals, operating gamma cameras, and supporting radiologists with injections and image acquisition.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of AMA approved Nuclear Medicine Technology Program.
• 1–2 years Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience in a hospital setting preferred.
• Current California Department of Public Health radiopharmacy license with all scopes, Venipuncture included.

Responsibilities

• Perform all diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures using radiopharmaceuticals.
• Receive and record radiopharmaceuticals from suppliers and prepare Technetium radiopharmaceuticals.
• Operate nuclear medicine equipment and ensure ALARA safety practices and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain patient records and assist radiologists with intravenous administrations.
• Participate in on-call coverage and schedule coordination.
