Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures. You will review patient histories, obtain information, and ensure exam accuracy while maintaining radiation safety standards.

The role requires IV/venipuncture proficiency, image post-processing, and collaboration with multiple departments to optimize patient care and accurate billing. A bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nuclear Medicine or equivalent knowledge.
• ARRT/NMTCB/Nursing related certs as applicable.
• BLS certification within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic to advanced nuclear medicine procedures including therapy, QMP, PET/CT as needed.
• Review patient records, orders, and history to ensure exam accuracy.
• Inject radiopharmaceuticals observing safety and venipuncture technique.
• Label and dispense Nuclear Medicine drugs per prescriptions.
• Post-process images and correctly label patient data.
• Document billing codes and enter data into RIS.
