Job summary

HCA Florida Raulerson Hospital in Okeechobee, FL is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform isotope-based imaging, operate imaging equipment, and support PACS workflows. You will work under a Nuclear Medicine Physician to apply isotopes for diagnostic imaging and ensure radiation safety.

Responsibilities include patient testing, equipment operation, radiopharmaceutical administration, and adherence to safety standards and hospital codes of conduct.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program in Nuclear Medicine or Radiography.
• Certified Radiology Technologist by Florida Department of Health.
• Certification in Radiology, CT, MRI, Ultrasound or Mammography.
• Basic Life Support certification.

Responsibilities

• Under guidance of a Nuclear Medicine Physician, perform radiographic procedures using isotopes.
• Apply independent judgment in using isotopes for radiographic diagnosis.
• Perform tests on in-patients and out-patients.
• Utilize Nuclear Medicine cameras and equipment; operate in PACS workflow.
• Administer pharmaceuticals and radiopharmaceuticals per Nuclear Medicine Scope of Practice.
• Demonstrate radiation safety and regulatory compliance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Adhere to Code of Conduct and Mission and Value Statement.

Education

Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine or Radiography program

Certified Radiology Technologist (Florida Department of Health)

Certification in Radiology/CT/MRI/Ultrasound or Mammography (AART)
