Job summary

Chippenham Hospital is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist. You will perform diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures, prepare radiopharmaceuticals, and ensure accurate charges linked to physician orders.

You’ll participate in QA, inventory, and decontamination while maintaining records and assisting in patient interactions. Qualifications include AMA-approved program completion, ARRT-N or CNMT license within 6 months, and BLS.

Qualifications

• Graduate of AMA approved School of Nuclear Medicine Technology.
• ARRT-N or CNMT license required.
• Continuing education as required for licensure.
• Required: ARRT or NMTCB certification within 6 months of hire.
• BLS Health Care Provider certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of diagnostic and therapeutic Nuclear Medicine procedures.
• Order, prepare, calibrate, store and administer radiopharmaceuticals for routine and on-call procedures.
• Perform quality assurance on cameras and various instruments.
• Operate various radiation detection devices.
• Demonstrate ability to perform computer operations (Meditech, PACS, Syntrac).
• Ensure proper charges are entered and physician orders verified.
• Computer processing.
• Perform quarterly inventory of radioactive sealed sources.
• Maintain departmental records, manuals and inventory.
• Perform decontamination procedures.
• Assist in cleaning and maintenance of the department.
• Answer phones, greet patients, physicians, and the public.
• Complete and maintain educational requirements.
