Job summary

OhioHealth in Columbus seeks a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to operate imaging devices, dose calibrators and related equipment in the Nuclear Medicine department.

You will perform scintigraphy, image processing, quality control and collaborate with radiologists/cardiologists to provide accurate data for interpretation. Eligibility includes NMTCB or ARRT Nuclear Medicine certification and a valid BLS, with a state license. Day shift, As Needed hours.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of approved training program in Nuclear Medicine Technology.
  • Registered with NMTCB as CNMT or with ARRT in Nuclear Medicine.
  • ODH Radiologic License as Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
  • BLS Certification.
  • Familiarity with all aspects of a fully-equipped Nuclear Medicine department.

Responsibilities

  • Perform scintigraphic scanning as prescribed by physician.
  • Perform image manipulation and quantitative studies; archive patient studies and quality control studies.
  • Receive, store, and prepare radioactive and non-radioactive materials for patient doses; assure availability of proper doses.
  • Perform quality control and maintenance procedures for scanning; maintain quality control and wipe survey statistics.
  • Consult with physicians; show images and data to radiologist/cardiologist; provide quality data for interpretation.
  • Administer diagnostic radiopharmaceuticals under physician direction.
  • Demonstrate sensitivity to patient needs; provide education, assessment, monitoring and overall patient care.
