Job summary

Northwest Health is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist I to perform diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures under physician supervision. Responsibilities include radiopharmaceutical preparation, operating imaging equipment, and maintaining safety and compliance standards.

Ideal candidates have licensure as a Radiologic Technologist and NRC/state regulatory knowledge, with strong patient communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Licensed Radiologic Technologist as applicable by state.
• AR DMS or ARRT - Nuclear Med Tech required.
• NMTCB - Nuclear Medicine Tech required.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support required.

Responsibilities

• Performs nuclear medicine imaging procedures and therapies per established protocols.
• Prepares and administers radiopharmaceuticals intravenously or orally.
• Assesses patient condition before procedures and ensures proper identification.
• Operates and calibrates nuclear medicine imaging equipment.
• Maintains NRC/state regulatory compliance through documentation and QC checks.
• Ensures safe handling, storage, and disposal of radioactive materials.
• Explains procedures to patients and families and provides post-procedure care as needed.
• Documents all procedures in the EMR with accuracy.
• Collaborates with Radiologists, Cardiologists, and vendors to update protocols.
