Job summary

Henry Ford Health in Detroit is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist on a contingent basis for rotating shifts. Under the direction of a Radiologist, you will perform procedures using isotopes to evaluate pathologies prescribed by physicians.

You will determine imaging techniques, patient positioning, and safety practices while following departmental protocols and maintaining regulatory standards. This role requires registration or eligibility with ARRT or NMTCB, a high school diploma, and

Qualifications

  • HD diploma or GED required.
  • ARRT or NMTCB registry required or eligible within 12 months of hire.
  • Must maintain CME hours.
  • BCLS certification required.

Responsibilities

Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Contingent - Rotating

Shift: Rotating

General Summary

Under the direction of a Radiologist, specializes in the performance of procedures using various isotopes for the evaluation of pathological entities as prescribed by a physician. Performs related functions according to department protocols. Utilizes independent judgment in determining appropriate imaging techniques, patient positioning, and safety practices.

Qualifications
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is required.
  • Must be registered (or registry eligible) in Nuclear Medicine by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) and/or The Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
  • If registry eligible, registry must be obtained within 12 months of date of hire. Failure to obtain registry within designated timeframe will result in termination of the Nuclear Medicine Technologist position.
  • Must maintain required hours of continued medical education.
  • Healthcare Provider certification required (BCLS).
