Schedule: Part-Time - on-call during the week and weekends and 7am-3pm Saturday and Sunday

  • Winter Park Memorial Hospital has served Winter Park and surrounding communities for over 50 years
  • Chartered in 1951, the hospital has grown into a 307-bed acute care facility with a focus on community health and wellness
  • The hospital has expanded to include obstetrics, neonatal intensive care, cancer care, and orthopedic services

The role you’ll contribute:

Under supervision, performs a variety of technical procedures using radionuclides for diagnosis and treatment. Independently performs radiographic imaging, handles, prepares, calculates dosages, and administers radionuclides and interventional medications under the direction of an authorized user. Responsibilities include patient safety, record keeping, assisting with procedures, and ensuring quality imaging. Adheres to safety standards to keep radiation exposure as low as reasonably achievable. Maintains records per departmental and state requirements, assists radiation safety officers, and transports patients. Positions patients for imaging, assists radiologists, performs clerical duties, and may market Nuclear Medicine/PET-CT to physicians. Complies with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards. Contributes to department goals by providing professional, safe, and efficient nuclear medicine imaging services, acting as a resource, and maintaining high standards of practice. Participates in customer service and maintains respectful relationships.

Radiographer Applicable State License Requirement:

  • Florida: Yes (CRT)
  • Illinois: Yes (IEMA)
  • Kentucky: Yes (KBMIRT)
  • Texas: Yes (TMB MRT)
  • Kansas: Yes (LRT)
  • Wisconsin: Yes (State of WI Department of Safety and Professional)

The value you’ll bring to the team:

  • Identifies patients, confirms exam accuracy, prepares radionuclides, explains procedures, and administers radionuclides following safety principles.
  • Ensures equipment quality, performs patient examinations with age-specific care, evaluates image quality, and documents findings.
  • Prepares and presents exams to radiologists, assists with image manipulation, helps patients, and provides instructions for exit if needed.
  • Performs nuclear medicine procedures, learns new technologies, and supports team competency and training.
