Job summary

TEEMA is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform a wide range of nuclear medicine procedures while prioritizing patient safety and regulatory compliance. You will prepare radiopharmaceuticals, execute diagnostic imaging using SPECT and SPECT/CT, and ensure accurate documentation in EPIC.

Ideal candidates hold an NYS Nuclear Medicine license, NMTCB/ARRT(N) certification, and a BLS credential, with strong teamwork and attention to detail to support high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Nuclear Medicine or related field; Bachelor's preferred.
• Current New York State Nuclear Medicine Radiologic Technologist License.
• Current NMTCB or ARRT(N) certification.
• Current BLS certification (AHA, HSI, or ARC).

Responsibilities

• Prepare, document, and administer radiopharmaceuticals per regulations.
• Perform diagnostic imaging including SPECT and SPECT/CT; process images for interpretation.
• Start IV lines, administer radioisotopes, and remove IVs per protocols.
• Transfer imaging data to PACS, document studies in EPIC, maintain patient records.
• Conduct QC testing on imaging equipment daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly.
• Safely receive, store, document, and dispose of radiopharmaceuticals and waste.
• Educate patients, collaborate with physicians/radiologists, uphold radiation safety and infection control.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, licensing and regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

Prepare, document, and administer radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with state and federal regulations.

Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including SPECT and SPECT/CT, and process images for physician interpretation.

Start IV lines, administer radioisotopes, and remove IVs following established clinical protocols.

Transfer imaging data to PACS, document studies in EPIC, and maintain accurate patient records.

Perform daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly quality control testing on imaging equipment and report any deviations.

Safely receive, store, document, and dispose of radiopharmaceuticals and radioactive waste.

Educate patients, collaborate with physicians and radiologists, and maintain strict radiation safety and infection control standards.

Ensure compliance with hospital policies, licensing requirements, and all applicable regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications
