Endeavor Health in Vernon Hills, IL, is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures and operate nuclear medicine units under supervision. You will explain procedures to patients, assist with transfers, and monitor patient status throughout exams.

The role requires ARRT or NMTCB certification, Illinois IEMA license, CPR, and knowledge of radioisotopes. On-call 2-3 shifts per month with one weekend every 6–7 weeks, and travel to Highland Park offsite

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine program with knowledge of radioisotopes.
• Current ARRT or NMTCB certification and CPR/CPR certification.
• Active Illinois IEMA license and ability to demonstrate proper body mechanics.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures and operate nuclear medicine units.
• Explain procedures to patients and provide necessary instructions.
• Assist patients from wheelchairs onto imaging tables and position them appropriately.
• Monitor patients' conditions during exams and report changes to the Radiologist.
• Document dosages accurately on dose sheets in compliance with regulations.

Rotating start times* **On Call:** Yes, 2-3 shifts per month, 1 weekend every 6-7 weeks* **Travel: Local- Vernon Hills offsite, Highland Park** **What you will do:**· Perform diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures assigned by the supervisor and operate nuclear medicine units.· Explain examination procedures to patients and provide necessary instructions.· Assist patients from wheelchairs and stretchers onto and off the imaging table, positioning them for examinations and applying immobilization devices or compression bands as needed.· Monitor patients' conditions frequently while in the Nuclear Medicine area and report any critical changes to the Radiologist.· Administer the appropriate radioisotope with the correct dosage following department policy and procedure.
