Nuclear Medicine Technologist – Contract Opportunity
Assignment Length: 13-Week Contract with Option to Extend
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
No nights, weekends, or call requirements
A healthcare facility in Northern California is seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 13-week contract assignment with strong potential for extension. Position Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of nuclear medicine diagnostic imaging procedures in accordance with physician orders and department protocols.
- Safely prepare, administer, and document radiopharmaceuticals.
- Operate and maintain nuclear medicine imaging equipment while ensuring quality imaging standards.
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and clinical staff to provide excellent patient care.
- Maintain compliance with radiation safety standards and regulatory guidelines.
- Assist with molecular radiotherapy/theranostic procedures in addition to traditional diagnostic imaging.
Preferred Experience
- Experience or comfort level with theranostics/molecular radiotherapy procedures preferred.
- Familiarity with therapeutic nuclear medicine treatments such as Y-90 and I-131 strongly desired.
- Strong patient care and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Requirements
- ARRT(N) and/or NMTCB certification required.
- Active California licensure required (or ability to obtain quickly).
- BLS certification required.
- Travel stipend available for candidates residing 50+ miles outside of Vacaville.
