Description

Location: Salem Hospital, 890 Oak Street SE Salem, OR 97301
Department:Nuclear Medicine
Position Type:Unscheduled / Per Diem, Non-Exempt
Schedule: 10-hour shifts, variable scheduled days

Your role with us

At Salem Health Hospital and Clinics, our nuclear medicine technologists play a vital role in patient diagnosis and care by combining technical expertise, compassionate patient interactions, and strict attention to safety. As a member of our collaborative imaging services team, you’ll perform high-quality diagnostic and therapeutic procedures using advanced nuclear medicine technology to support our mission of delivering exceptional healthcare to our community.

You’ll work in a progressive, close-knit department equipped with a full range of nuclear medicine capabilities, including nuclear medicine gamma cameras, SPECT imaging, and PET/CT. Our team stays at the forefront of innovation, most recently launching Pluvicto—the newest therapy offered within our nuclear medicine program—expanding treatment options for our patients and community.

This is a smaller, highly collaborative team environment where you’ll work alongside fellow technologists, a lead on each shift, and a manager who comes from a nuclear medicine technologist background and truly understands the role. With an average of 4–6 patients per day, you’ll stay engaged and focused while maintaining strong work-life balance and the time needed to deliver precise, high-quality imaging and patient-centered care.

Our nuclear medicine technologists are highly trained professionals—each holding national certification through American Registry of Radiologic Technologistsor the Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board, along with a bachelor’s degree. We are looking for someone who shares that same commitment to excellence—detail-oriented, safety-focused, and motivated to grow while contributing to a culture grounded in LEAN thinking and continuous improvement.

At Salem Health, you’ll be part of a team that is excited about the future of imaging and therapeutic services and the continued growth of nuclear medicine in our community. If you’re looking for a meaningful role where you can make an impact, continue to grow your skills, and be part of an innovative and supportive imaging team, we encourage you to apply.
