Job summary

Pride Health is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 13-week contract in Newton, NJ. The ideal candidate will prepare patients, administer radiopharmaceuticals, monitor procedures, and operate imaging equipment, ensuring safety and quality throughout.

Requirements include ARRT(NM) or CNMT certification, BLS certification, and a Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Medicine or related Radiologic Technology program. Local 40-hour workweek, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM, on-site position.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for nuclear medicine examinations and explain procedures.
• Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals according to established protocols.
• Monitor patients’ physical condition throughout examinations and procedures.
• Operate and monitor nuclear medicine imaging equipment and scanning setups.
• Perform general nuclear medicine studies such as bone, hepatobiliary, lung, and thyroid scans.
• Maintain patient safety and follow radiation safety and departmental protocols.
• Ensure accurate documentation and proper handling of imaging and patient information.

Job description

Seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures, prepare radiopharmaceuticals, monitor patients, and ensure safe and effective operation of imaging equipment. Candidates should have appropriate nuclear medicine certification and New Jersey licensure, with experience in general nuclear medicine procedures preferred.

Key Responsibilities

General Nuclear Medicine experience preferred, including:

• Bone scans
• Hepatobiliary (HIDA) scans
• Thyroid scans
• Strong knowledge of nuclear medicine procedures, equipment, patient care, and radiation safety.
• 13-week contract position
• Shift is 8 hrs/days (8:00 AM - 4 PM), 40 hrs/week
• Location is Newton, NJ 07860
• Pay Range for Local: $65 - $70 per hour
• Pay Range for Traveler: $2,950 - $3,000 per week
